Dear PICC family – As the COVID-19 situation develops and changes, we wanted to give some updates about how PICC is moving through this moment. First off, we are still here! Our entire staff is working remotely and is accessible via email and phone. Please feel free to reach out anytime. We may not be able to be in the same room with all of you, but we are committed to continuing our work of promoting pro-immigrant policies at the local, state, and federal levels, providing trainings and support to our members, lifting up the leadership of young people, and maintaining PA is Ready! This means we will continue to post toolkits on our website, host online webinars on immigration topics, and host our monthly youth leadership calls. Check our calendar of events for updates.
If you are looking for ways to support your local immigrant communities, check out our list of members to find organizations near you, and then subscribe to their newsletters and follow them on social media to stay up-to-date on their work. In this week’s newsletter, we are highlighting some actions we can all take from home to ensure that our communities not only make it through this crisis, but we continue to build together for our collective long-term well-being. In love and struggle, Sundrop, Maria, Prudence, Kim, Yeny, Nyamal, Chris, & Julia
